Yorkshire played at Fartown between 1873 and 1982. The ground is situated just off the Bradford Road, only a mile and a half away from Huddersfield town centre. Various local league teams have played at the venue since 1982 on an ad hoc basis (most notably Edgerton CC of the Huddersfield Central League). Today the cricket ground - and the adjoining rugby league ground - are still visible and intact, but visitors to the complex today will see a generally sad and dilapidated scene.
