Cricket Heritage Trails in Calderdale & Kirklees Take a summer stroll and find out more about the history and heritage of your local community The outcomes of this Cricket Heritage Project have been many, and now include a series of cricket-orientated Heritage Trails. Invariably, cricket clubs are located at the heart of the local community - and this series of Trails will enable the general public to discover more about their local cultural and sporting environment. These unique Trails are designed for walkers, local history enthusiasts and cricket-lovers.
If you have any comments about specific walks or suggestions for others (maybe you’d like to devise one?), please contact Dr Peter Davies via peterdavies80@hotmail.co.uk. The Trails were researched by Lindsay Pollick, Huddersfield Examiner local history correspondent, Dr Peter Davies, Project Leader, 'The Cricketing Heritage of Calderdale & Kirklees', Frances Stonehouse and Rachel Heyes. Disclaimer: Please take care on the walks, take a good map with you, and always look out for relevant signage. We do not take responsibility for anything that might happen to you on these walks. Please let us know if you have any feedback about any of the Trails – or if you would like to devise your own!
